The location was perfect, with a beautiful garden area and a quiet atmosphere. The owners were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We appreciated the ample parking space and the excellent WiFi throughout the house. Despite a few minor setbacks, such as the small toilet/shower room and the limited hot water, we were overall very satisfied with our stay. The delightful Casa Rural offered a spacious and well-furnished room with a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed a delicious and reasonably priced dinner prepared by the owner. The breakfast room/lounge was a cozy space with a log fire, perfect for relaxing. We highly recommend Casa Rural Don Alvaro De Luna for a delightful and affordable stay. We had a fabulous welcome from the host as soon as we arrived and were served drinks in the beautiful courtyard. The home-cooked dinner was delicious, and the spacious and comfortable room made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed the picturesque countryside surrounding the village.

The breakfast options were a bit repetitive and the downstairs area felt a bit dark and uninviting. Additionally, the smell of cigarette smoke near the kitchen was unpleasant.

Our 2-day stay at Casa Rural was planned to explore Merida and the surrounding area, but it became the highlight. Pepe and his wife were welcoming and kind, and the traditional decor with lovely antique furniture was special. The breakfast was great with good coffee, and the dinner we had was delicious, with excellent wine. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the property, though small, had a beautiful collection of plants along with the plunge pool. It was the ideal place to have breakfast.

The 17th century farmhouse had been renovated to a high standard and retained its original charm. The rooms were comfortable and the Spanish-style breakfast included in the room charge was hearty and delicious.
